Whale Watching

Whale migration season takes place December through March. Friends visiting with their 4 year old daughter were able to see the whales from Patrick’s Point State Park (http://www.parks.ca.gov/?page_id=417) in Trinidad, CA a couple weeks ago. They highly recommend it.

Since it is near us, we visit Patrick’s Point at least once a year. The park has grassy areas to play, lots of rocks to climb, and beaches to enjoy. (Though we always have remind the kids to NOT go into the water – the undertow in this area is dangerous!). I’ve also heard good things about the Yoruk Indian village (reconstructed), but have not yet visited. Sounds like a day trip is in order.
