It’s time for another road trip! Yep, once again we are going to do one of our mammoth, marathon road trips. This time over 5500 miles in less than 16 days!
We’ll be starting out from Houston, TX and heading over Flagstaff, AZ. Spend a day in the beautiful Grand Canyon.
Then we’ll head towards Oregon, driving straight through only stopping when we need to or we see something we want to stop and see.
We’ll spend three or four days in Oregon visiting family, meeting the emus, alpaca, and llamas my mom has added to her herd at the ranch, and hanging out with my family. (It’s been four years since we’ve been to visit, so it’ll be good to see everyone.)
Then we’re going to take a day to head for the Redwoods in Northern California. There we’ll visit family, let the kids visit the beach and the Redwood trees. We’ll only be there for a day, so we are really picking and choosing which activities we can do, especially since we have family and friends there.
Then we’ll head off to Denver, Colorado and visit my brother and sister-in-law, and let my kids meet their younger cousins for the first time. After a day in Denver, we’ll head home, back to Houston.
It’s going to be a lot of driving, but a lot of family fun as well. ![]()
The kids and Greg and I are all excited and looking forward to all the time we’ll have together and the fun things we’ll get to see and do. I hope you’ll come along with us!
